Evening/Swing Shift Radiology
UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an Evening/Swing Shift Radiologist to join the growing Emergency Radiology subdivision. UT Southwestern, a distinguished institution located in Dallas, TX, has been ranked the #1 hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth by U.S. News & World Report (2024-2025) for 8 consecutive years.
Schedule:
- Evening shifts end at midnight (4:00PM – midnight)
- 17 shifts per month on average (net expectation of 14 shifts per month if all holidays and PTO are used)
- Monthly schedules are built by mutual agreement between the evening radiologists
Position Highlights:
- Service locations include UT Southwestern’s Clements University Hospital and Parkland Health & Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center
- State-of-the-art equipment is available at all locations
- Combination of on-site or in-house coverage, and remote coverage from a home workstation supplied by UT Southwestern
- Work alongside several evening radiology residents and emergency radiology fellows. Over read resident/fellow preliminary reads – workload will be a variable mix of de-novo reads, as well as overreading preliminary reports
- Integrated PACS system and EMR for easy review of relevant history by the interpreting radiologist
- Standardized dictation templates are utilized for ease of decision support in up-to-date radiology interpretations and recommendations
- Radiologist-led quality assurance program ensures patients are safely and optimally imaged
- Divisional duties include interpreting a full range of diagnostic imaging studies and providing the best care possible to patients in consultation with referring physicians, and clinical expertise with radiograph interpretation, chest and body CT imaging, and general ultrasound is expected

Qualifications
Candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreign equivalent, have completed a minimum of 1 year of fellowship training in any diagnostic subspecialty, and be ABR-certified/eligible. Eligibility for Texas medical licensure and its acquisition prior to the start of employment is required.
